Creditor’s Winding Up Petitions

A letter is sent to the Debtor giving the Debtor 7 days to respond
1 Week
If no response is received, or payment is not made, a Statutory Demand is served giving the Debtor 21 days, from service, to respond
4 Weeks
If no response is received to the Statutory Demand, or payment is not made, a Winding Up Petition is presented to the Court
6/7 Weeks
Once the Petition is received back from the Court the Petition is served at the Debtor's Registered Office address.
9/10 Weeks
Advertisement of Petition in the London Gazette
11/12 Weeks
Petition Hearing
16/18 Weeks

The above is an estimate only and assumes no problems with service of the Petition, that the Petition is not contested and that the Court is able to list the Petition for hearing within the period set out above.
